When in Lima, EAT!
…..and maybe walk around a bit to help the digestion.
My better half was in charge of plotting our very brief Lima visit. As such, our entire stay revolved around where to eat in this South American capital city known for its cuisine. My husband literally spent HOURS lost in internet-land reading about the hottest places to eat and go for a drink. He was actually showing signs of stress with so many delicious places to choose from and so little time. Upon arriving in Peru, several other recommendations were given to us from friends and people we crossed along the way. Our first night in town we ended up at an impromptu house party with CUSO, partially as my going away. This was a delightful evening and a chance for Luis to meet a few members from the CUSO clan, but threw a slight wrench in our (his) eating extravaganza. Our final evening while waiting to go to the airport, we had planned to dine at one of our chosen restaurants, only to learn that most restaurants on Sunday’s are only open for lunch. Last minute sushi saved the day. In the end, we had some wonderful meals, walked until blisters were formed, and saw a tiny bit of this massive city.
